| Giclee Printmaking Process |
My watercolor prints are made using the Giclee print process. The word Giclee comes from the French verb, which means "to spray". It is a digital fine art printmaking process. Giclee prints are created using a high-resolution inkjet printer. Paintings are scanned and reproduced using pigment-based inks. Giclee prints are printed on a variety of papers, are archival, and will not fade. Giclee prints have a higher resolution than other printmaking processes and a more dynamic color range.
